Beautiful Skin by Carmen is one of the first in Orlando to offer the latest advancement in skin rejuvenation, Medical Micro-channeling, by Procell Therapies The concept of breaking down skin or muscle tissue to initiate new cell growth and healing mechanisms isn’t anything new. Weightlifters take their muscles to the brink of overload, knowing that the damage caused will repair and build new muscle mass. The same has been true with Microchanneling which has been around for 20 years. Damage the skin with hundreds of microscopic wounds and it will repair and improve the look and feel of the skin by reducing the appearance of wrinkles, scars, and acne inflammation.

Following pre-treatment with the micro-channeling tools, the human stem cell-derived serum will be delivered deep into the skin. This revolutionary serum is designed to nourish the skin with its growth factors that stimulate the regeneration of damaged skin cells. The Livra™ system has shown to effectively.

Microchanneling is the latest procedure to use this concept, but it improves upon it. Microchanneling from ProCell combines microneedling with ProCell MD Stem Cell Growth Factor Serums that stimulate the regeneration of damaged skin cells

Procell™ Therapy is considered by many dermatologists as the best anti-aging technology of the last decade.

What is ProCell Microchanneling?

ProCell Microchanneling takes microneedling and builds upon it. We begin with the latest microneedling device that creates up to 1,000 perforations per square inch. These thousands of microscopic channels are made in depth from .25 to 1mm, so they only penetrate the epidermis. They provide the perfect vehicle for penetration of the human growth factor serums that we apply following your microneedling. The combination of the body’s wound-healing response to the microscopic wounds (which is to produce new collagen and elastin to heal the perceived wounds) and the delivery of growth factor serums, improves skin tone, texture, laxity, fine lines, and wrinkles.

What Skin Issues Can Microchanneling Improve?

This skin renewal procedure can improve these skin issues:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Inelastic areas of skin
  • Large pores
  • Acne and acne scarring
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Keloid scarring
  • Stretch marks
  • Rosacea
  • Dull-looking complexion

Who Is a Good Candidate for ProCell Microchanneling?

Almost everyone could use the skin improvement offered with this procedure.

The only restrictions would be people with any condition that impairs their immune system function. Pregnant women, diabetics (due to healing problems), patients on Accutane, or those with inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema (the treatment can aggravate the condition) can’t have ProCell Microchanneling.

Microchanneling vs Microneedling

Microneedling has been used since the 1990s, but the available microneedling devices, from rollers to nine-needle pens, have created uneven perforations and have penetrated too deeply. This has resulted in more healing time, inflammation, and variable results.

The ProCell Microneedling heads offer three sizes with 12, 25, or 49 microneedles in each. This allows us to customize the speed and ease of the microneedling to the area you are having treated. Plus, the higher number of needles creates an even distribution of perforations in less time. The creation of up to 1,000 perforations per square inch is far higher with this system than comparable microneedling pens.

ProCell Microchanneling Procedure

We first apply a light topical numbing cream to the areas to be treated. Next we cover the area with the ProCell Microchanneling device in a tapping sequence. Because the device has more needles than microneedling pens, we can cover your treatment area with better uniformity, yet at a faster pace. Perforations are made by tapping the ProCell device, rather than dragging a pen across the skin. This makes our microchannels with a perfect vertical edge. This is a stark contrast to the “cat scratch” effect that microneedling pens create when dragged quickly across the treatment area.

The second phase of ProCell Microchanneling is the application of various ProCell Serums to the perforated skin. These serums are derived from human stem cells. They contain a high concentration of natural human growth factors. These growth factors support cellular renewal and have potent regeneration properties to improve skin firmness, elasticity, and tone. Fine lines and wrinkles diminish, and the patient’s skin looks and feel brighter, more luminous, and healthy.

After the microperforations have been created, the second step is to apply the ProCell Serums to your skin. These are applied with a roll-on applicator.

ProCell Microchanneling Results

Results take time, as the body initiates the healing response to the microscopic wounds by producing new collagen and elastin. Patients can begin to see results in as little as two weeks. These results will continue to build. We provide patients with ProCell Microchanneling. These stimulate keratinocytes in the skin to release growth factors that induce the production of new collagen. These serums enhance your results at home.

Microchanneling Recuperation & Healing

How your skin reacts after your treatment can vary. Some patients have little or no reaction. Others appear as if they have a light sunburn and may appear red and swollen.  This should gradually fade over time, often subsiding completely within the first 24 hours.

Since the serums contain human stem cells and growth factors, this can produce an anti-inflammatory effect that speeds skin healing following micro-channeling.

There really isn’t any downtime, and you can get back to normal activities after your treatment.

How Many Microchanneling Treatments Should I Have?

Microchanneling at BSBC has a cumulative effect. The skin-healing response, coupled with the human growth factor serums, create two-pronged skin renewal. The number of recommended treatments can depend on what we are treating. For light anti-aging treatments, 1-2 treatments could be sufficient. For deeper wrinkles and scarring, 3-6 treatments could be necessary to achieve the results you want.

Patients can use our ProCell Microchanneling as an ongoing skin care program, as well. The treatments simply need to be spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
